Generating Sitemaps for Search Engines

A sitemap is an XML file that tells search engines about all the pages on your site.
SynaptikCMS includes a built-in Sitemap Generator.
What's in a Sitemap?
Your generated sitemap includes your homepage, all published articles, pages, projects, and category archive pages.
Using the Sitemap Generator
- In admin, navigate the sidebar to Tools > Sitemap Generator
- Click 'Generate Sitemap'
- Your sitemap.xml file is created in your site's root directory
That's it, you are done!
However, don't forget to submit your sitemap to Google and Bing for them to index your site, as they will not index and explore on their own.
Adding to robots.txt
Add this line to your robots.txt: Sitemap: https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml
